A large outdoor assembly of devotees sits in blue plastic chairs under a white tent canopy at a festival event. Most attendees are women in white saris with coloured borders, some with flowers in their hair and ID badges on lanyards. Several have hands pressed together in prayer. A few children sit among them. Blue poles, orange garlands and a red and white decorated backdrop line the tent, and the crowd extends into the distance.
