A night procession on a dark road lit by a bright spotlight from the upper left. A large crowd, roughly several dozen people, walks together; many wear orange or saffron and red clothing, and some wear white dhotis. Several umbrellas, one orange and ornate, are held aloft above the group, and a drum is carried on the right. The strong beam creates long shadows across the ground. The figures are mostly silhouetted, and no individual can be identified as a specific presenter.

In the foreground, a priest in white dhoti and shawl with a red and gold border holds a lit oil lamp, while a second figure in white holds another flame; a third man on the right, bare-chested with a white cloth draped over his shoulder, stands beside a wooden structure. A single floodlight on a pole and a line of small lights mark the far edge of the ground. A white stone pillar stands at the left edge. No figure with distinctive a person cues is clearly identifiable.
