Night-time outdoor photograph of a small ceremony on bare reddish-brown earth. A canopy of striped blue, pink and green cloth is held up by poles and decorated with banana leaves and palm fronds. Beneath it, men in white shirts and dhotis stand and kneel around a seated group, with an offering arrangement visible in the centre. Around them, a crowd of roughly thirty people stands and kneels, including women in green salwar, pink and yellow saris, and a girl with a long braid. Parked silver vehicles and a van sit at the left edge. No clearly identifiable presiding figure in saffron or ornate dress is visible, so no candidate is confirmed.
