Outdoor satsang under a corrugated metal canopy with palm trees beyond. On a raised orange-draped dais, a seated figure in orange robes and a beaded necklace sits in an orange armchair, with a white oscillating fan in front. Before the dais, devotees stand and bow in a line: several women in white and colourful saris hold orange flags on poles, and a man in white with a grey beard and orange shawl stands at left with hands folded. A woman in white kneels at lower centre, and a man in white with a stringed instrument stands in the middle. Garlands and a potted plant decorate the structure.

In the foreground a bare-chested priest with a shaved head, rudraksha malas on his neck and arms, and an orange-and-gold cloth over his shoulder, holds up a lit lamp in one hand and rings a handbell in the other. Behind him, a man in a saffron robe sits in a tall orange chair on a raised platform draped in orange and red cloth, with a rudraksha garland and a small seated attendant nearby. Devotees in white and saffron stand in rows, some with palms joined, and a man in white kneels to touch the floor before green leaf plates. Several women in white garments with orange shawls stand behind them, and a cameraman and other people are visible in the background. A metal bowl and plate sit on the floor near the seated man. The seated man matches the appearance cues for a person with long hair and saffron cloth, but his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2006-10-21Photograph of a padapuja-style ceremony in an open-sided hall with an orange-painted wall and corrugated roof.
