Several people in white and light clothing stand in a crowded row near the front, some with hands folded in devotion. A bright lit structure or lamp stand is visible in the centre, with decorative bunting overhead. The scene suggests an evening Kartheekai Deepam celebration of lamps, though the lamps themselves are not clearly legible.
