A communal meal service in a white-walled hall. On the right, women in white saris with gold borders and white hairnets serve food from brass chafing dishes on a long buffet counter draped in yellow and white fabric. In the centre, a man in white kurta with a beaded mala serves a plated meal to a man in a white kurta who holds a plate with rice and curries. Other people in white clothes stand in line behind them. At the left edge, a deity murti sits on a blue and gold pedestal near a yellow-draped table. Ceiling fans and an air cooler are visible.
