He is pressing the staff into the earth beside a small brick-lined pit, with a coconut and scattered yellow marigold petals at the base, in what appears to be a planting or foundation ritual. Behind him, a group of people stand with palms pressed together in namaste, including a girl in glasses and a striped green top, a boy in a yellow shirt, and a woman in a cream sari. A man in white clothes with a rudraksha mala stands to the right. A boundary wall and trees are visible in the background.2012-04-02April 02 20122012-04-02April 02 20122012-04-02Photo 11680085 +1 copiesApril 02 20122012-04-02A man with long dark hair, a white tilak on his forehead and a red dot at the centre, stands outdoors on dry ground pouring water from a clear plastic bottle onto a tall bronze-coloured rod or trident-like stake. He wears an orange saffron shawl with gold border over an orange garment, and a long necklace of rudraksha beads. Around him, a man in white dhoti with gold border holds his hands together in prayer, a girl in a striped green top presses her palms together, a woman in a green sari stands with hands folded, and other devotees in white and in a blue checked shirt stand nearby. A concrete boundary wall and trees are behind them. The scene suggests a planting or consecration ceremony. Swamiji (probable): the orange robes, long hair and rudraksha mala match the page's claim that he attended this event.2012-04-02A man in saffron-orange draped robes with gold border stands outdoors, smiling and looking to the side, wearing a long rudraksha mala across his chest and a small red bindi on his forehead. Behind him, a crowd of devotees stands in a sunlit courtyard beneath leafy branches; a woman in a white sari with gold border stands with hands folded, and women in orange and green saris are nearby. A stone wall and trees appear in the background. Whether the central man is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, though long swept-back hair, saffron robes and rudraksha malas are present.2012-04-02April 02 20122012-04-02Outdoor photo of a crowd walking along a dirt path lined with trees and a low concrete wall. In the foreground a woman in an orange saffron sari with a shawl walks barefoot, while a bearded man in a white shawl and white kurta walks at the centre, with many men and women in white kurtas and white dresses behind them. A girl in a blue and green dress walks at the left edge. A blue sign on the right reads photography, video camera and mobile camera prohibited, and a white building with Kannada signage and a Navaratri poster stands behind the group.2009-10-15
