A photograph of a formal initiation ceremony before a red velvet curtain and an ornate silver throne-backdrop. A seated man in an orange-red robe with a tall dreadlocked turban, forehead tilak, multiple rudraksha malas and a gold chain places his hand on the head of a bare-chested older man whose eyes are covered by a white and yellow cloth. A second attendant with long dreadlocks, rudraksha malas and white body markings supports the kneeling devotee's shoulder. A leopard-print cushion and silver ornaments sit in the foreground.
