A photograph of a fire ritual inside a hall with a corrugated roof and brick walls. In the foreground, an man in a white shirt and dhoti tends a fire pit, with flames rising from a metal fire vessel and sparks flying. Around the fire, several men stand watching: a bald man in orange-red robes and shawl, a man in deep orange-red robes with a sash, and men in white shirts and white dhotis. A man at right in an orange-red dhoti and shawl stands near the fire, and a man in a white shirt and dhoti stands beyond him. The scene reads as a homa or yagna with the fire pit at its centre.
