A night photograph of an illuminated outdoor shrine decorated for Karthikai Deepam. A row of oil lamps lines the stone platform and its edges. Strands of marigold and red flower garlands hang from the arched canopy over a central deity murti, dressed in a blue and magenta skirt and garland-draped with a crown-like headdress. Beside it stands a ceremonial lamp stand and a white draped figure resembling a statue, with a pale puff-shaped decoration. Red curtains frame the pillared structure, and a metal ladder rests at the front. No living people are visible.
