Two workmen carve a wooden vahana, a white-painted animal sculpture with green detailing, mounted on a low wooden workbench outdoors under a tree. The man on the left, in a green checked lungi and white sleeveless vest, leans over the carving with both hands while the man on the right, in a white vest with a thin cord necklace, works with tools beside him. Scattered wood shavings, a plastic bag, paint cans and chisels surround the bench, with a paved road and a passing motorcycle in the background.
