October 26 20162016-10-26A decorated deity murti, not a living person, is the main subject: a dark stone figure dressed in an orange and gold-bordered cloth wrapped as a turban-like crown, topped with a red rose. A golden multi-hooded serpent canopy with five green-jewelled hoods arches overhead. The figure wears a white and gold sash, a jewelled gold band with diamond-like stones, a red-and-green jewelled pendant, and a long rudraksha mala draped across the chest. Thick white jasmine garlands and red flower garlands frame the figure, and a gold kalasha-style ornament sits at the base. Blurred pink fabric and gold decor fill the background.2012-04-26Close-up photograph of a gold cobra-hood canopy with scale-patterned metal over a deity murti draped in orange cloth and green leaves.
