Five men sit cross-legged: on the left a player beats a barrel-shaped mridangam-style drum in a white shirt and white dhoti; in the centre a man in a white shirt and dhoti plays a long wind instrument (nadaswaram-type) with a bell-shaped end; beside him a younger man in white plays a second wind instrument; further right a boy in white plays a small instrument; and on the far right a man in a checked shirt plays a hand percussion instrument. Behind them a large dark metal arch frame encircles a deity murti of Nataraja, dancing, adorned with a multicoloured floral garland. Flanking the stage are golden lamp stands draped with yellow and orange garlands, and a red-covered altar table holds further flowers. The scene suggests a devotional musical performance.2003-01-01
