August 02 20162016-08-02Wide photograph of an indoor hall where two long rows of saffron-robed devotees sit cross-legged on the floor facing a central ritual area. Many sit before green banana leaves holding small cups and offerings. Some monks are bare-chested with white tripundra markings on their foreheads and arms, and wear rudraksha malas. A multicoloured striped mat lies in the open floor space. At the far end, an ornate golden throne-like altar stands with umbrellas, a golden peacock figure, gilded deity statues and lion figures. Two large screens show a portrait of a man in red. A figure in a purple garment stands near the altar and a man kneels in the foreground. Red curtains line the back wall.2016-11-11 +1 copiesNovember 10 20132013-11-10 +1 copiesA large hall during a ritual gathering.
