The base is a carved stone or metal pedestal draped with white and orange marigold garlands. Two men stand at the base reaching up to adjust the pole, one wearing a rudraksha-style garland of white flowers and a dark cloth, the other in an orange-brown dhoti with long dark hair visible. A coconut palm and a strung line of small lights are visible overhead.2017-01-01A tall copper dhwaja stambha (flagstaff) rises against a cloudy sky, topped with a carved finial and a small orange flag. At its base, decorated with marigold and white flower garlands, two people in orange robes stand together, one reaching up to the pole and the other pulling a rope or cord. Coconut palms frame the right side of the scene, and a few other figures are partly visible at the bottom edge.2009-07-08A tall copper dwajastambha flagstaff rises from an ornate base wrapped in white and orange flower garlands, with a carved finial at the top against a cloudy sky with palm trees. On the right, a man in a saffron-orange robe stands at the base pulling a rope that runs up the pole, appearing to hoist it during the flag-raising at a temple. Another person in orange is partly visible at the lower right edge, and a dark stone sculpture stands near the base.2009-07-08Low-angle photo of a tall copper flagstaff (dhvajastambha) rising against a pale sky, its wooden base carved and wrapped with white and yellow flower garlands and green leaves. A man with long dark hair and a dark beard, wearing a marigold garland with orange and red flowers, a rudraksha-style necklace and a dark robe, pulls a rope that guides the pole. Another person in dark clothing and an orange cloth stands at the right edge. A palm tree and foliage fill the background, and a tiny logo sits at the lower left. Two people are visible in the scene; the visible man's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference only partially, so the identity is unsure.2016-10-03A tall copper dhwajastambha, a ritual flagstaff, rises from a base wrapped in marigold garlands and stands against a pale sky with palm trees. Near its base, a figure in a flowing orange robe grips a rope that runs up to the pole's ornate finial, which is topped with a carved red-orange element. Another person in orange is partly visible at the lower right edge, beside a garlanded stone structure. The scene suggests a flag-raising ceremony at a temple, consistent with dwajarohanam. The figure at the rope is a person in orange robes, and their face is not visible enough to judge who they are.2009-07-08
