Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at its base; the closer man, in a red-orange sleeveless top under an orange wrap, reaches up to steady the pole with one hand while holding a rope, and the second man beside him in orange holds a rope end. Coconut palm fronds and an overcast sky form the background.2009-07-08A tall, copper-clad ceremonial flagstaff rises against a clear blue sky beside a corrugated metal shelter roof. Its base is carved with ornate reliefs, and marigold and yellow flower garlands hang from its middle. A man in saffron-orange cloth with a red sash stands at the left, reaching up to adjust a red-and-white flower garland on the pole's bracket. Beside him, a second man in orange robes wears a beaded necklace and holds a small object in his hands. Palm trees appear at left. A multicoloured cloth streamer hangs at the right edge. The scene suggests a flag hoisting ritual.2011-03-05A photograph taken from below of a tall, slender copper flagstaff with ring-like bands and a carved wooden finial at its top, rising from a carved stone base wrapped with white flower garlands and a bundled broom-like cluster. An orange saffron flag is being hoisted on ropes and yellow powder is scattering from it. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at the base: the taller one, with long dark hair and a dark rudraksha mala, grips a rope overhead while looking upward; the other, in an orange wrap, kneels beside him holding a rope, also looking up. Palm fronds and a tree frame the sky at the edges.2010-07-01A tall copper dwajastambha flagpole rises from a stone base decorated with marigold and white flower garlands, topped with a carved finial and a saffron flag. A person in orange robes stands at the base pulling on a rope to raise the flag, while another figure in saffron cloth assists nearby. Palm trees and an overcast sky frame the scene, consistent with a dwajarohanam flag-hoisting ritual at a temple courtyard.2009-07-08January 11 20162016-01-11Low-angle photo of a tall copper flagpole standing on a carved stone base wrapped with white flower garlands and a broom-like bundle. A red-orange flag flutters near the top. In the foreground, a person in orange robes stands at the base pulling a rope that runs up the pole, with a rudraksha mala visible at the chest. A second person in orange robes, seen from behind, stands to the right holding folded cloth. Palm trees and leafy trees frame the open sky above.2010-07-01October 03 20162016-10-03
