July 29 20082008-07-29A roadside photograph of a large pink-bordered banner on a grey roadside beside a two-lane road. The banner shows a portrait of a man with a saffron-orange turban, long dark hair, saffron-orange clothing and a beaded rudraksha-style mala, captioned with Tamil text inviting people to a meditation satsang led by Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Behind it stand a white domed building, a yellow metal gateway with a tent canopy, and a few men walking along the road.2008-07-30November 25 20062006-11-25November 25 20062006-11-25A street at dusk outside a decorated gateway with a banana-leaf arch and a green sign reading in Tamil. On the left stands a large orange-and-pink banner showing a portrait of a man in a white head wrap with a marigold garland; the banner is labelled "Paramahamsa Sri Nithyananda" and advertises a Dhyana Satsang. Motorcycles are parked and riding past, and a uniformed police officer and a man in a light blue shirt stand in the roadway. Several people walk along the street in the background, and warm street lights glow overhead.2005-11-21January 12 20072007-01-12Evening street photo at a decorated entrance arch in Namakkal, with banana stalks and string lights on a roadside gate. A pink and yellow banner on the left shows a portrait of a man in a white turban and white clothes with a marigold garland, labelled as a depiction on a sign reading Paramahamsa Sri Nithyanandar's Kadavai Thira Kaatru Varattum Dhyana Satsang. Two uniformed officers in khaki stand in the road, one in a light blue shirt and dark trousers near the arch. Motorbikes are parked along the left and a few people walk in the distance.2005-11-21January 12 20072007-01-12Outdoor street scene at an ashram gate with a large orange roadside banner and a diamond-shaped kite-style sign. Both show a smiling woman with a saffron-orange turban and orange garment, in a depiction; the banner's printed caption names Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and the Swamiji portrait labelled on the banner is printed, not physical. In front, a crowd of people in everyday clothing walks past a parked truck and a colourful auto-rickshaw, including a woman in a red sari and men in white shirts and dhotis. Speakers and scaffolding stand at left under a grey sky with trees and a hill behind.2013-01-06Outdoor street scene at a roadside inauguration arch made of thatch, palm fronds and hanging fruit bunches, with bunting strung across it. A large banner on the left shows a smiling figure in an orange turban and saffron robe, captioned as a portrait labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda", with the event details beneath. A group of people stands along the road in white and coloured saris and dhotis, with children in front, while a man in a white dhoti and shirt stands at a decorated table with flower garlands and a tray of offerings near the arch. Tables with white cloths and banana-leaf or flower arrangements line the background, with a small orange flag at left and palm trees behind.2010-02-18November 25 20062006-11-25A street procession passes under a tall bamboo arch hung with a black banner printed in Tamil and red-and-white lettering, with large portrait prints of a bearded man in white head-wrap and white robes along both side panels. Musicians in white shirts and red-and-white uniforms with vests play a trumpet and a drum, while a man in a white shirt and dark trousers walks in the foreground. Strings of bunting and flags stretch across the street, with shops, a palm tree and a parked car behind. The portrait prints are depictions on banners and cannot be confirmed as a person by appearance, so their identity is unsure.2007-01-12
