Photo 11728220Photo 11728222 +1 copiesA photograph of a line of devotees standing barefoot in an open dirt courtyard performing a padapuja, each with palms pressed together in namaskar. Most wear white dhotis or kurtas and white shirts, with white jasmine garlands strung with red, pink and orange flowers around their necks. Each stands before a brass plate holding milk, flowers and turmeric or kumkum. Behind them are a few statues and a tiled building with red doors. A photographer with a video camera stands at the left edge. One man in an orange shawl is among the devotees, and a sannyasi-style figure is not clearly identifiable.2010-07-24August 15 20172017-08-15July 08 20172017-07-08November 24 20062006-11-24Outdoor procession on a dirt path with a small ceremonial parasol overhead. At the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange dhoti and matching shawl wears a large garland of white and orange flowers over his chest and a rudraksha-style mala at his neck. Around him, several shaved-headed men in white dhotis with gold borders walk in step, some wearing beaded necklaces and some holding hands. A green banana tree and a blue tarpaulin wall stand in the background under an overcast sky. The long-haired central figure matches appearance cues, a flowered garland, saffron clothing and a mala, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji (probable), walking as the honoured figure in the procession.2010-12-29December 29 20102010-12-29December 23 20162016-12-23December 14 20162016-12-14December 27 20092009-12-27Outdoor photo at an ashram grounds beneath large banyan trees with hanging aerial roots. A central figure with long dark hair, a red and gold garland, a gold necklace, and orange robes stands on a black stone platform with palms pressed together in namaste, with a small red mat at his feet. Beside him a man in orange robes holds a brass plate of flowers and offerings, and another man in orange holds a similar plate on the right. Behind them a crowd of people in white dhotis and white shirts and a woman in a red sari stand with hands folded, watching the ritual.
