Outdoor photograph on a paved courtyard under palm trees, with a floral-patterned umbrella held over a central figure. A man seated on a red-and-gold cushion wears a red turban, an orange shawl and a long yellow-orange marigold garland. Around him stand bare-chested and white-clad men with shaved heads and white beards, holding brass plates of coconuts and offerings wrapped in white cloth. Several devotees wear white dhotis with gold borders and orange or red sashes, and one woman in an orange sari with a red beaded necklace stands at right. Wet patches of water mark the ground, and a small potted plant sits in the foreground.2020-02-21Photo 11728220 +1 copiesFebruary 21 20202020-02-21 +1 copiesOutdoor temple procession at a covered pavilion with paved stone floor. Several young men in saffron-orange dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies, wearing rudraksha malas and gold armlets, stand in a group; one holds a silver pot with a green leaf and another holds a silver plate of red flowers. Behind them a large umbrella with red, green and yellow fringed canopy is held up, and women in orange and white saris with garlands stand to the left. Brick-red pillars, hanging decorations and a framed portrait on the right frame the scene.2015-04-21January 01 20122012-01-01Outdoor procession on bare dirt ground. Centre, a man with long dark hair, a tall ornate crown-like headdress, an orange dhoti and orange shawl, many-strand orange rudraksha-style beads and a pink-and-white flower garland, walks forward with a hand extended. Behind him a man in white holds a tall wooden staff and a ceremonial umbrella with blue, yellow and red panels and bird motifs is raised overhead. Around them, men in white dhotis and women in white or orange saris stand in a crowd, some holding a brass tray of flowers. A shaved-headed monk in orange robes stands at right beside a man in white shirt. A red shipping container and banana plants form the background.2011-12-21August 15 20172017-08-15Photo 11728225 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial procession on a tiled path beside a dirt road, with palm trees and a leafy tree overhead. Devotees in saffron and orange clothing and white dhotis walk in a line; a man in the foreground carries a brass pot with green leaves on top, and a bare-chested priest with a shaved head and red-and-gold dhoti stands with palms pressed together. Women in orange saris and young girls in white stand among them. Tall poles with orange flags and a decorated ceremonial standard rise behind. Footwear lies scattered on the ground near the path.2015-02-05Outdoor procession on a dirt path with a small ceremonial parasol overhead. At the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange dhoti and matching shawl wears a large garland of white and orange flowers over his chest and a rudraksha-style mala at his neck. Around him, several shaved-headed men in white dhotis with gold borders walk in step, some wearing beaded necklaces and some holding hands. A green banana tree and a blue tarpaulin wall stand in the background under an overcast sky. The long-haired central figure matches appearance cues, a flowered garland, saffron clothing and a mala, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji (probable), walking as the honoured figure in the procession.2010-12-29December 23 20162016-12-23
