A priest in white dhoti with a red border raises a large white feathered fan (chamara) over a deity murti of Ganesha seated on a grey vahana, a mouse-like figure, beneath a yellow fringed umbrella-canopy. The murti is decked in marigold and multicoloured flower garlands, with a gold and red robe and ornate silver-toned crown. Tall polished silver oil lamps stand on either side and a steaming fire pit with brass bowls and a bell lies in front. Green banana-style plant stalks flank the altar. A second figure in white is partly visible at right, and a red-and-white striped step leads up to the altar.
