The foreground man has short hair, a beard and clear-rimmed glasses, wears multiple rudraksha mala necklaces, and holds his hands in a meditative mudra over his lap. Beside him an older man with white hair and a white forehead mark sits in similar dress with rudraksha beads. Behind them another man in glasses holds an object in his hand, and a silver tray holds flowers, a small lamp and offerings.2017-03-18December 07 20162016-12-07November 26 20162016-11-26 +1 copiesTwo bare-chested men in white dhoti-style cloth stand with hands pressed together in anjali, apparently in devotional or ritual activity at a temple setting with warm lights and wooden scaffolding behind them. The man on the left has a vibhuti or kumkum mark on his forehead and a rudraksha mala; the man on the right wears a red bindi, a rudraksha mala and a thread across his chest, with a red and yellow wristband, and is chanting. Yellow and orange flowers appear at the right edge. No distinctive appearance cues establish either man as a person, so both are described by role only.2018-03-02March 07 20132013-03-07A photograph of several bare-chested men seated in a row during a ritual, eyes closed and in meditative posture. The foreground man wears a long multi-strand rudraksha mala, clear-framed glasses and a short haircut, with his hands resting in a mudra. Behind him, others hold items and wear rudraksha malas over white dhotis with yellow borders. A brass tray with flowers, a lit oil lamp and a small incense stick sits at left. The setting is a warm-toned hall. Visible physical people: about four.2017-03-18A seated devotee in a white dhoti and white shawl with a gold border sits with palms pressed together in namaskar, eyes lifted in devotion. Multiple rudraksha mala strands hang around his neck and a small red tilak marks his forehead. Behind him, a crowd of devotees sits in white and saffron clothing, and a young boy in orange robes sits at left. The setting is a large gathering.2016-05-20
