A seated man in rust-orange sannyasi robes waves his right hand in greeting while smiling from a velvet throne. He wears a long ornate golden necklace with beaded strands, sandalwood and white vibhuti marks on his forehead and a red kumkum bindu. The throne is backed by a large semicircular arch of fresh flowers in red, yellow, orange, purple and white, with golden lion-shaped armrest finials on each side. A small green parrot perches on the left armrest. Swamiji (probable), a candidate with long swept-back hair, saffron ceremonial clothing and gold necklaces, is seated on the throne as the central figure.
