Close-up of a deity murti or statue adorned for worship, shown from behind and above. A large gold crown-like headpiece with five golden lion or makara finials and green gemstone drops frames the head, with a white cloth wrapped around the top. Thick garlands of red and white flowers hang on both sides, a gold-and-diamond band encircles the neck area, and strands of rudraksha beads drape below. The gold ornaments and flower garlands suggest a decorated murti during a ceremonial alankaram. No people are visible; the subject is the adorned statue and its ornaments.2011-06-26Close photograph of a decorated deity murti dressed for worship. A gilded serpent hood with five golden cobra heads and green hanging gems frames the figure's head. The murti wears an orange and dark green silk cloth with gold zari borders, wrapped over the head, with a jewelled gold band and a gold pendant at the chest. Garlands of red roses and white chrysanthemums hang on both sides, interspersed with brown rudraksha beads and a silver chain. A gold vessel base sits below, with a purple cloth in the background.2011-08-20January 04 20172017-01-04 +1 copiesSeptember 25 20132013-09-25A seated figure on an ornate golden throne is decorated with thick garlands of yellow marigolds and red flowers draped over the shoulders and arms. The figure wears an orange and maroon turban topped with a green leafy crown, a white garment, a multi-strand gold necklace of beads, a jewelled diamond-studded headpiece, and a gold waist ornament. The face is covered by the turban and garments, so no features are visible. A large white cloth lies in the foreground. Behind the throne are gilded panels and sculpted golden details. The setting suggests a ceremonial procession or darshan, with the seated figure presented as a deity murti or honoured person in jewelled regalia, though whether this is a living person or a statue cannot be determined.2008-10-04Close photograph of a decorated deity murti of Shiva in a gilded cobra-hood shaped crown and back arch, wearing a saffron-orange cloth wrapped around the head, with green leaves tucked beside it. White jasmine garlands, magenta flower strands and a dense dark rudraksha mala with gold beads hang across the figure, with gold ornaments and jeweled armlets visible. Gold and green-tinted earrings or pendants dangle from the top, and a gold girdle with bells sits below. The figure is a statue or murti, not a living person, and the scene is a temple setting with a blurred background.2011-11-25A golden ornate throne (peetha) with a five-headed naga-hood style canopy topped with gilded carved finials and hanging green stone pendants. Seated on it is a figure draped in an orange and gold-bordered cloth, with a shaved or covered head, wearing a diamond-studded armlet and a jewelled clasp. Heavy garlands of red and white roses cascade down the figure's body and across the throne, interspersed with large rudraksha beads. Green foliage is tucked behind the garlands. A green silk curtain hangs at the left edge and a blurred green tree background is visible at right. The figure's face is not visible.2011-08-04 +1 copiesSeptember 25 20132013-09-25January 04 20172017-01-04A photograph of a sculpted deity murti seated before a golden cobra hood with five raised serpent heads and green gemstone drops. The murti is draped in an orange and gold brocade cloth, wrapped with a jewelled band, and adorned with long white jasmine garlands interspersed with red flower strands and a rudraksha mala hanging down the chest. A gold-and-red cloth and marigold-type flowers rest on the base in front. No physical people are visible, and the image is a photo of a statue, so no living person is depicted.2013-06-24 +1 copiesOctober 26 20162016-10-26 +1 copiesJanuary 04 20172017-01-04
