November 11 20112011-11-11A photograph of an empty ornate golden throne in a temple-style hall, with a framed portrait placed on its seat. The gilded throne has a carved back and lion-shaped armrests with cushions. The framed portrait shows a seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a white flower garland, legs crossed, one hand raised in a blessing gesture, before a large banyan-like tree trunk. Brass oil lamps hang on chains on both sides, and a painted deity figure with a crown and gold ornaments stands on the right against a blue and red wall.2013-06-12 +1 copiesAugust 09 20112011-08-09 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20102010-09-24A framed portrait of a seated man in saffron-orange robes and a white beaded mala, hand raised in blessing, placed on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head arms and a decorative crown, set before a black shrine wall with hanging brass oil lamps and bells. The portrait is captioned Paramahamsa Nithyananda in print at its base. A cushion rests on the seat. Red and orange ornamental side panels frame the shrine, and hands holding lamps appear at the edges. No physical people are present.2013-05-30A framed photograph on a gilded altar stand, flanked by brass lamp stands and golden lion-shaped supports. The framed portrait shows a seated figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a white beaded mala, with one hand raised in blessing. Behind the altar is a large printed backdrop of stone temple pillars among trees. A red cloth sits on the altar, with a garland draped at the frame's top and a small standing figure in orange printed on the backdrop at left. Because the framed portrait shows a long-haired figure in saffron robes and a mala, a Swamiji (probable) depiction is shown here. No people are physically present.2012-01-08A golden ornate throne with red cushions and bolsters stands empty in a temple setting, with a framed portrait placed on its backrest. The portrait shows a smiling man in saffron-orange robes and a long white bead garland, seated cross-legged with one hand raised in blessing, against a backdrop of tree roots. A caption on the portrait is partly visible, and a bowl with yellow flowers and an oil lamp sits on a tray in front of the throne. Behind it, a deity figure is draped in a yellow cloth and marigold garlands, with brass lamps and a stone carved niche nearby. Orange ritual cloths cover the floor. No physical people are present in the scene.2011-08-10Photo 11726178Photo 11744609 +1 copiesA framed photograph of Paramahamsa Nithyananda sits on an ornate gold-coloured pedestal in front of deep maroon velvet drapes. The framed print is garlanded with yellow, maroon and white flowers, with a red flower at the top and bottom. The printed portrait is a depiction, not a physical person in the scene, and the throne is empty in front of the framed picture.2010-09-28
