A bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, an orange saffron shawl, a rudraksha mala and a white flower garland sits on the left, smiling. a person is a candidate given his long hair, orange clothing and rudraksha mala, but identity is uncertain. An older man in a white checked shirt bends forward to touch the ritual copper kalasha and offering trays wrapped in white and orange marigold garlands. A man in a white kurta on the right holds a brass ritual vessel. Behind them, several women in red, pink and green saris stand watching, and a cameraman films with a video camera on a tripod.2016-04-26A photograph of a crowd gathered in a plain interior hall with white walls and a white cloth backdrop. At the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron robe, a long white jasmine garland, a dark rudraksha-style mala and a gold pendant, smiles with eyes lowered while another hand reaches toward him. Around him devotees in white shirts and dhotis, one in a maroon shirt, an older man with a vermilion tilak, and a boy in a pink shirt press closely. A shaven-headed monk in white stands at the lower right edge. Many people crowd the frame, and most are partly visible.2012-05-28 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple hall where a bare-chested man in an orange saffron cloth is being garlanded with a thick pink flower garland and a white jasmine garland. A man in a white shirt and a man in a blue shirt raise the pink garland over his head while a young boy in a red striped shirt presses his palms together in reverence. Another orange-clad attendant stands at the right edge. Behind them are arched white pillars and a deity murti in an alcove, with a golden altar and a striped cloth visible at right. The scene suggests a garlanding honour during a visit, with several devotees crowding around. The man receiving the garland has long dark hair and a gold bangle on his wrist; his appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm an identity, so he is described by role.2012-06-03 +1 copiesA crowded indoor corridor with white walls and barred windows. At the centre, a man with curly dark hair wears a white kurta over an orange-saffron shawl, smelling or holding a garland of white flowers, green leaves and a red and yellow bloom. Around him, devotees in white shirts and dhotis press close; a bare-chested man with a rudraksha mala and white dhoti stands at right, and an orange-robed sannyasi with a leaf-and-flower garland faces the centre. A gold ceremonial object is raised above the crowd. Men in white and orange, some with tilak marks, fill the frame.2007-01-12
