In the right foreground a long-haired man in a white garment with a yellow-gold shawl gestures expansively while smiling, seated before a golden lion-headed seat draped in red and heaped with marigold and rose garlands. Beside him a man in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala stands, and a woman in a white sari with red border holds an offering. On the left an older man in white kurta presses his palms together, and a man in white bends low to touch a red cloth with flowers before the golden seat. Several women in white and saffron saris stand with hands folded in namaskar, and devotees fill the background.2009-01-01June 19 20142014-06-19 +4 copiesA crowded indoor photo of a ceremonial gathering. At the centre, a seated figure in a white turban and leopard-print jacket sits on a decorated throne-like seat with a cream and gold cushion, garlanded with red, yellow and white flowers, beneath a multicoloured fringed canopy. Around them, people in white dhotis and shirts stand and bow, some with hands folded. On the right, a man in a saffron-orange garment and rudraksha-style beads stands near the throne, and a bald man in white stands nearby. Foreground devotees in white saris and a woman in a bright green shawl lean forward. Pale walls are lit with small lamps set in niches.2010-12-29A photograph inside a white tent during a ritual at a golden throne decorated with multicoloured flower garlands. A man in orange robes with an orange head wrap sits on the throne, smiling, holding a flower garland and reaching toward a large golden tray of flowers and offerings in front of him. A bald priest in white dhoti and shawl with an orange garment stands at left, and a woman in a cream sari stands near the tray. On the right, a man in a pinkish-white jacket with clasped hands and a man in a light blue shirt stand near the throne, and another orange-robed man stands behind. Green carpeting covers the floor and red drapes line the tent. The seated figure is the central subject of the honour.2011-07-15May 22 20162016-05-22December 31 20092009-12-31
