Many devotees sit on colourful striped mats facing a decorated stage with golden deity murti and ornate shrine figures, including a tall multi-armed form. Most seated participants wear white dhotis and saffron/orange shawls, with rudraksha malas and some with red cloth at the shoulders; several are shaved-headed. A figure in white and a bare-chested priest stand near the shrine, and a low wooden throne-like seat with a silver-toned frame sits at left. Rows of white stanchions and a yellow-and-red banner frame the scene. Devi Durga worship during Navaratri is suggested by the deity murti, but no a person is clearly identifiable.2017-09-27Photo 11712990 +1 copiesPhoto 11712989 +1 copiesPhotograph of a temple hall with an orange-painted interior and corrugated roof where a devotional ceremony is underway before a shrine holding a deity murti decorated with garlands and colourful cloth. Many attendees wear white clothing, and some wear orange, pink and green saris and tunics. The aisle between the seated rows has a red carpet and metal railings. At the far end, a colourful deity murti is decorated in red and gold with lamps before it. Framed orange-walled panels line the right side, and hanging paper decorations and striped tall banners decorate the ceiling and walls. Many people sit cross-legged on mats, and a few stand near the entrance on the left.2010-09-14Photo 11729339
