Photograph at dusk of a line of devotees standing on a dark tiled courtyard outside a white building with a balcony. Most wear yellow and gold clothing: several women in yellow salwar kameez and a man in a yellow shirt with white dhoti. Others wear floral or pink outfits. They face the building's open entrance under a blue awning edged with red and yellow striped valances. A banner hangs on the left, and a plaque is mounted beside the doorway. Some participants carry small bags.

A woman in a cream and green traditional sari with floral hair garland and jewellery stands at left with palms pressed in namaskar. Another woman in white sari and a man in an orange cloth stand nearby, and a man wearing an orange and white head wrap stands behind the lingam. Bananas, marigold garlands, a plastic-wrapped bundle and a tray of offerings sit on the altar, with yellow and teal temple decor and pink paper flags in the background.

A procession of devotees walks along a paved road in Maran, Pahang, during the Panguni Uttiram festival at Sri Marathandavar Bala Dhandayuthapani Alayam. Many people wear bright yellow-orange clothing and carry silver kavadi-style pots on their heads with both hands, some with orange cloth draped over them. A man in the foreground in a yellow shirt and yellow-orange dhoti holds a pot overhead, while a woman in a yellow kurta holds a white cup. Palm trees, a banana leaf and a utility wire frame the scene, and an elderly man in white with a purple suitcase stands at the right edge.
