A photograph of boys playing a game in a dirt courtyard at an ashram-style compound. In the foreground a boy in white kurta and white dhoti with an orange waist sash runs across the sandy ground, while a boy in a white shirt stands on the right near a painted line. Several boys crouch and squat in a group in the centre. Behind them a white building with a corrugated roof and a veranda holds more boys in white shirts and shorts, and a woman in white stands near the steps. Bright daylight and a clear blue sky above.

In the foreground a boy in a maroon-and-grey checked shirt and grey trousers runs past, and a boy in a green shirt and grey trousers in the centre reaches his arms out. Other boys in white kurtas and shirts sit or crouch at the edges, and a few stand near a veranda with potted plants and wooden shutters.
