July 13 20062006-07-13A photograph of a ceremony at a decorated shrine area. On the left, a man with long dark hair wearing an orange-saffron robe and a gold necklace sits with palms pressed together in prayer. In the centre, a woman in a white sari and a child in white with a flower-decorated hair ornament kneel with hands folded before a white brick-lined fire pit or altar. A woman in a red sari with flower garlands sits at the right edge. Brass lamps, a brass bowl, a silver vessel with a green leaf, a plate of fruit including apples, bananas and grapes, and sweets surround the altar. Behind them a large garland-framed portrait shows a figure in orange robes with a garland, flanked by marigold and red floral decorations and a yellow floral arch.2006-07-13July 13 20062006-07-13July 13 20062006-07-13July 13 20062006-07-13A photograph of a wedding-style ritual at a fire altar. A figure seated on the left wears a saffron-orange robe with a gold-and-beaded necklace and holds yellow thread lengths aloft, smiling. Three people sit to the right in front of a floral backdrop: a man in white with a red-and-white garland, a woman in a red sari with white flower garlands and gold bangles, and a man in white with a white garland beside a woman in a red sari. A small flame burns on a brick-and-tile platform with fruit, a brass bowl, a kalasha-like vessel and a potted plant in front. Behind them a large floral arch frames a framed portrait of a long-haired woman in orange. The figure in saffron does not qualify as an appearance-based a person candidate, so the visible person is described by role only.2006-07-13July 13 20062006-07-13A photograph of a ceremonial puja in an ornately decorated hall with marigold and jasmine garlands draped along the walls and altar. At the centre, a large framed portrait of a seated man in saffron robes and a white bead necklace is garlanded with yellow and purple flowers and set on a red and gold throne. In front of it stands a tiered arrangement of yellow-cloth-covered steps with brass plates and pots of flowers. A saffron-robed man with a shaved head and a red headband sits cross-legged at a microphone, gesturing with his right hand and holding a tray of yellow powder. Two people sit to the right: a man in white clothes with a yellow-and-white garland, and a woman in a red silk sari with a yellow garland, seated in front of rows of small oil lamps and metal bowls. A bearded man in saffron is partly visible at the far left, and another man in white stands at the far right.2009-12-26A wedding-style ritual in a hall decorated with white flower garlands and a flower-framed backdrop. A standing person in an orange saffron robe, with long dark hair, holds a small vessel at the left edge. Seated at centre, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a white flower garland sits beside a woman in red sari with a garland, both receiving the ritual. A woman in a green sari with a gold border and jasmine in her hair sits on a chair at right, holding a plate. Brass lamps with lit flames, a metal bowl of fruit, and brass plates lie on the floor. Other seated people in white and orange clothes assist, and a cameraman in orange stands behind.2006-07-13December 26 20082008-12-26 +1 copiesA flower-decorated shrine with a seated man in orange robes, a red mala and a white flower garland, hands pressed in namaste and eyes closed.
