Yellow and multicoloured decorative hangings with geometric patterns hang from the ceiling and pillars, and fans are mounted above. A framed painted deity image with a garlanded altar stands at the back left wall. A woman in white with a yellow scarf stands among the rows, observing. Several mats show the printed logo of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetham. Part of the scene is visible at the front right, where a seated older man in white is also on a mat.2009-12-01Participants in white clothing perform yoga backbend poses on colored mats (blue, purple, pink, green) in a hall. Two ornate gold-and-red thrones stand empty at the far end beneath a yellow and blue decorated banner, with a speaker and window grilles on the walls. In the foreground, men in white shirts and shorts lift their chests in cobra or upward-dog poses, and women in white pants and tops hold similar positions further back. Mats and bags are visible on a bench at right.2009-06-02A photograph of a large hall where a group of people in white clothing practise yoga on coloured mats in a stretched posture. Many participants are in white kurta-style outfits and white trousers, bending forward on hands and knees, some leaning back with arms reaching. Mats in green, blue, pink and black are laid across a pale tiled floor. Hanging decorative cylinders with yellow, blue and orange patterns decorate the ceiling, and ceiling fans are visible. At the far back a painted mural shows a deity and a forest scene, and a woman in white stands near the left side of the room. A small sign on the wall reads Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam.2009-12-01A large indoor yoga session in a temple-style hall with thick ceiling beams and hanging ornamental banners. Dozens of people lie prone on colourful yoga mats in rows, arms stretched forward, mostly wearing white kurta-style clothes and some in khaki or grey trousers. At the back wall a painted deity mural stands beside a wooden altar-like platform, with a clock and wall fixtures to the right. The crowd appears to number in the dozens, filling most of the floor in a sea of white.2009-06-21
