A priest stands at left in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a vertical white tilak on his forehead, holding a brass oil lamp with a visible flame near the statue as part of a puja or aarti. Dark foliage and a wooden railing frame the outdoor setting.2010-01-01March 28 20202020-03-28A photograph of a temple scene under a tree. On the left, a standing male priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a red-and-white flower garland around his neck and bangles on his wrist, holds a small brass bell and a handbell-like puja vessel while he stands barefoot on a red-painted base. Beside him stands a large dark stone sculpture of a multi-armed deity, seated in a cross-legged pose on a carved pedestal, with a red tilak on the forehead and a crown-like headdress, holding objects in several hands. An ornate silver-coloured arched torana frame surrounds the image, and a lamp and an orange fruit sit on a stone offering slab at the base. Trees with green leaves fill the background.2011-12-28March 28 20202020-03-28September 29 20062006-09-29Night photograph of a temple shrine under dark trees. A black stone deity murti with multiple arms, wearing a rudraksha-style bead necklace, stands within a silver arched frame decorated with yellow marigold garlands and green leaves. A priest in a white shirt with a light tilak on his forehead holds a brass oil lamp with a lit flame toward the murti. In the foreground, three devotees with dark hair face the shrine with their backs to the camera; one has hands pressed together in prayer. An orange cloth lies at the base of the shrine, and a small plaque is visible on the pedestal. The scene suggests a puja or aarti at the shrine.2010-01-01December 28 20112011-12-28November 30 20182018-11-30A priest in an orange saffron dhoti and wrap stands at left wearing a gold-coloured beaded necklace, holding a brass oil lamp aloft with a flame toward a large black stone deity murti at right. The murti has a crown, a kumkum mark and large ornate jewellery, and its raised hand holds a small brass bell. Green foliage and a carved silver arch frame the scene, with a brass bell at lower left. This appears to be an aarti offering at a shrine.2011-12-28November 13 20212021-11-13
