A bare-chested priest in an orange-gold dhoti stands at left, raising a lit lamp toward an ornately decorated deity murti seated in a gilded arch with a trident. The murti is draped in white and purple cloth, adorned with thick garlands of white jasmine and red-yellow flowers, and a snake coils behind it. A golden bull (nandi-like) figure sits in front, and additional tridents flank the shrine. Gold canopy fringe hangs above, and a brass plate rests at the lower left. No a person candidate is visibly present.2016-09-01A photograph of a priest in a close-up ritual scene, bare-backed and wearing a purple cloth tied on his head, with a red flower garland draped over his shoulders. He leans forward holding a brass multi-wick oil lamp with several lit flames toward a dark black stone lingam. Behind it stands a deity murti heavily adorned with jewelled ornaments, white jasmine garlands and a green and gold silk sari, with gold-coloured metal items at the right edge. The arrangement of lamp, lingam and decorated murti suggests an aarti or abhishekam offering. No a person candidate is visible; the only person is the priest, whose face is turned away.2018-04-14Photo 11728673 +2 copiesA photograph of a priest in orange ritual cloth with bare upper body and bead necklace performing a flame offering before a golden shrine. Inside the ornate gold arch, a deity murti with a gold crown and red bindi is garlanded with white and multicoloured flower strands and a jewelled chest ornament. A flame burns in a lamp held in his hand near the murti's base. Gold-framed decorative panels and gold ornamental figures surround the scene, and a yellow cloth drapes the shrine. Shatmurthy Deeparadhana and Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Brahmotsavam Day 5 captions appear in the lower portion.2021-11-14Photo 11728679 +2 copiesA photograph inside a richly decorated temple shrine. A bearded priest in an orange-saffron dhoti with a bare chest, white tripundra and sandalwood markings on his arms, and a rudraksha-style mala over one shoulder, holds a red and white cord or thread near a deity murti. The murti is a hooded serpent-crowned figure with a gold arch behind it, draped in a purple and blue silk cloth, wearing a large multi-stranded necklace, and garlanded with white jasmine and red-yellow marigold garlands. Gold figures, red and maroon drapery and ornate gilded panels frame the scene.2021-06-20
