In the foreground a young man in an orange dhoti and shawl with rudraksha beads and white tilak stripes on his forehead holds a brass-and-gold decorated tray with a kalasha topped by green mango leaves. Beside him a smiling woman in a rust-red sari and rudraksha mala holds a blue bowl of red flower petals and a brass cup. A bare-chested man in white dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl faces away at right, and another man in white and gold stands beside a red-and-white barrier. Offerings are arranged in front of him: flower garlands with marigolds, brass and silver pots and lamps, banana leaves, a small bowl of food and a tray of dried twigs. Around him sit about forty devotees on chairs and mats, many in orange or saffron shawls, white kurtas and white clothing, with several women in colourful saris and salwar. A tripod-mounted camera stands at left and a red brick pillar appears at the top left.2012-04-30
