A bearded man in a long-sleeved white shirt and white dhoti kneels on the ground, handling a white cloth. Seated on a folding chair in front is a figure with long dark hair wearing a saffron-orange robe, smiling, with bare feet. Behind them, five people stand in a loose group: a woman in a beige salwar with an orange-patterned shawl, and four men in white shirts and dark trousers, several wearing necklaces. On the far right an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti with a white shawl smiles. A red-and-white checked bag and a small container sit on the ground beside the chair.2008-11-13November 13 20082008-11-13Night outdoor photo on grass under dark trees. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with long dark hair sits on a low folding chair with bare feet, hands pressed together in greeting and smiling. Before him, a man in white shirt and white dhoti kneels on the grass with hands joined, a red flask and a small bunch of flowers beside him. Around them, about six standing men in white shirts and dhotis and a woman in a beige salwar with an orange dupatta watch; one man on the right holds a white cloth over his shoulder, and another man sits cross-legged at the far right. The orange-robed figure is a probable Swamiji by appearance: long hair, saffron robe and a seated position of honour, with a kneeling devotee before him. Ordinary white-clad devotees are present around him.2008-11-13A night photograph on a sandy beach with a dark sky and distant lights. A seated man in an orange robe and a rudraksha mala sits on a white plastic chair, smiling, with his hands resting on his knees. To his left, a man in an orange robe and pale pink-orange shawl stands holding a small camera. Another man in an orange robe with a bag over his shoulder walks at the right edge. A fourth person in white clothing with an orange shawl crouches in the foreground, facing the seated man.2008-06-09April 04 20082008-04-04Night photograph at an outdoor relief camp with a dirt ground, plastic chairs and a red-and-white canopy at left. In the foreground, a seated person in a saffron-orange sleeveless top and orange wrap sits on an orange plastic chair, hair pulled back in a bun, holding a dark object in their lap. Standing around them are men in white dhotis and shirts, one in a light grey shirt and shorts, and a man with a white cap and green surgical cap. Some attendants wear green head coverings. The scene appears to be a volunteer medical or relief gathering.2012-01-06Night photo outdoors on grass beneath a large dark tree. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe and orange cloth, sits on a folding chair at left with bare feet, one leg crossed over the other, gesturing as he speaks. Around him on the ground sit about eight men in white dhotis and white shirts, several wearing rudraksha malas, one with hands folded in prayer, others listening attentively. Two men at right wear orange shawls over white. A red plastic crate and a white jerrycan sit at the lower left edge. Scattered litter lies on the ground. The scene resembles a late-evening satsang or discourse.2008-11-13April 04 20082008-04-04Night outdoor scene at a relief medical camp. A person in an orange sleeveless top and orange wrap sits on a orange plastic chair, hands folded, head turned toward a standing young man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold-trimmed border and gold armband, bare-chested and wearing a rudraksha-style bead necklace. Around them, men in white shirts, white dhotis and head coverings stand on sandy ground under a bright work light, with a red banner on the left and plastic chairs at right. The seated figure has long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and a crown-like appearance is not visible; the seated person's identity is not established from appearance alone.2012-01-06
