Night photo at a temple street with a crowd of men standing behind bamboo barriers. In the foreground, a person in an orange head wrap and orange garment sits at a table draped in red and gold cloth, writing in an open notebook. A man in a white shirt points toward the table, and nearby a bearded man wears a saffron wrap over white clothes. Several people wear white dhotis and shirts, and blue plastic chairs are placed on the left. Strings of lights and a pillared colonnade line the street behind.

Around the table, a crowd stands behind a bamboo pole and blue plastic chairs: men in white shirts and white dhotis, a bearded man in white with an orange shawl, a man in a checked shirt, and a figure in orange and white at the right. Evening photograph of an outdoor temple courtyard lit by hanging string lights and a glowing shrine arch in the background. A figure in an orange-saffron turban and saffron shawl sits at a table draped in a red-and-gold cloth, writing in an open notebook. Standing before the table, a man with long hair and a saffron shawl over white clothes is being greeted, while a man in white dhoti bends forward near him. Around them a crowd of men in white shirts, dhotis and checked shirts stands closely, some with hands folded, and a cameraman with a video camera films the scene. A photograph at night of a crowd gathered outside a temple courtyard lit by strings of round bulbs. In the foreground a seated person in an orange saffron turban and orange shawl writes in an open ledger on a red and gold cloth-covered table. Around the table, men in white shirts and dhotis, some in checked shirts, stand or lean forward; a man in a white kurta with a long grey beard, orange shawl and beaded necklace stands near the centre, and a man in a white shirt leans over the table. Several people wear white, a woman in a pink sari stands at the right, and blue plastic chairs sit at the edges. A lit shrine with a deity murti glows in the background behind a stone wall, with a small oil lamp on the left side.

Night outdoor gathering at a temple-side event with a crowd of devotees in white and light clothes. On the right, a man with long swept-back hair in an orange saffron robe sits cross-legged on a red and patterned mat before a gold-patterned backdrop, with his hands resting on his knees while a woman in white kneels nearby offering flowers. In the centre, women in saris, including one in a maroon blouse with a braid and one in a yellow-and-blue sari, press their palms together in namaste. A small child in pink stands at left. Strings of bulbs and triangular pennants hang overhead. Several people wear white dhotis and shirts, and a few wear rudraksha-style beads. The swami-like figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone, so it is described by role only.

Photograph of a group standing indoors at night in a hall with a concrete floor. In the centre, a young man in a saffron-orange robe and matching turban, with a long rudraksha mala and a small pendant at the chest, stands with hands clasped in front of him. Around him, older men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a line, one at the left with hands folded in greeting and another wearing glasses. At the right, a man in a checked shirt and blue trousers stands barefoot. Watermarked archive text appears across the lower right, omitted here. Background includes other onlookers and a bright wall light.

Night outdoor gathering in a village street lit by a bright overhead lamp. A young man in a plain orange saffron robe stands centre, smiling, hands clasped at the waist, with a bare shaved-looking head and no visible crown, malas or ornate ornaments, so his identity is uncertain. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti holds a microphone to address the crowd. An elderly woman in an orange sari stands beside him, and a man in a red shirt and white dhoti stands to the right. Behind them a white canopy with a printed banner, and a crowd of onlookers including children in light blue and pink clothes fill the frame. Strings of lights hang on a building at upper right.
