The murti stands in a gold-framed alcove decorated with red, orange, yellow and purple flower garlands, wearing a green and pink sari, a crown and a flower garland. Smoke rises near the murti. Below, a pink-flower-decorated kalasha or offering pot sits with lit oil lamps, marigold garlands, and trays of bananas, oranges and other fruit on the floor. Two large garlanded figures stand on the right and left edges of the scene.2018-04-27 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple worship scene with a priest in a reddish-brown dhoti and wrap performing aarti with a lit oil lamp before a gilded shrine. The shrine is decorated with marigold and red garlands around a deity murti. To the right, another gilded arch frames a murti adorned with yellow and purple flower garlands and a gold crown. Golden ceremonial fans, a brass lamp stand and orange drapes complete the setting.2015-07-09 +1 copiesJuly 20 20102010-07-20A photograph of a priest performing aarti before a deity murti decorated with pink, white and multicolored flower garlands. The priest, seen from behind in profile, wears an orange saffron cloth wrapped around the body with a sash over one shoulder, a bun of hair on top of the head, earrings and a beaded armlet, and holds a lit oil lamp in the right hand with a small silver vessel in the left. The murti sits on a gilded silver seat draped with a pink cloth, under a silver arch. Smoke rises from the flame.2018-04-18A bald man seen from behind, wearing a golden-yellow and white shawl over his shoulders and a beaded mala around his neck, performs an aarti with a multi-flame brass oil lamp. Five flames rise from the lamp as he holds it over a bed of red flower petals and green leaves. Behind him a large gilded deity murti with ornate carved detailing and garlands stands in a dim hall lit by red lights. Smoke drifts upward from the lamp. The scene appears to be an evening puja. The man's appearance is not clearly identifiable from this angle, so the role is given as priest performing aarti.2018-03-02A photograph of a temple ritual in progress. A person with long, swept-back dark hair and an orange sleeveless garment with an orange shawl stands at left, holding a brass bell in one hand and a brass lamp with a bright flame in the other. In front of them is a dark stone shivalinga topped with white abhishekam offerings, set beside a gold-coloured deity murti adorned with red stones, a crown and yellow and white flower garlands. Red and gold draped cloth covers the altar behind. The orange-clad figure has distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and a shawl, consistent with a probable Swamiji identification, and performs the puja.2010-02-12October 11 20162016-10-11A photograph of a decorated deity murti on an ornate golden throne-like altar draped with orange and red cloth. The murti wears a tall crown, elaborate jewelled garments, and is heavily garlanded with white jasmine and red and yellow flower strings, with a trident-like staff beside it. A standing priest on the right, bare-chested with a dhoti in orange and gold, holds a lit camphor aarti lamp up toward the deity, a ritual lamp-waving puja. Brass oil lamps and a tall brass lamp stand flank the altar, with a brass trident at the far right. Red drapery forms the background.2016-10-10 +1 copies
