A man with long dreadlocks, a rust-orange turban and an orange-brown dhoti stands at center, arranging a garland of marigolds and red flowers over a golden kalasha-like vessel. Two younger figures in orange and saffron garments stand beside him at left, one with a rudraksha-style necklace. Behind them is a golden deity murti in ornate jewelry and a red-orange cloth, with a golden canopy above and a bright flower-filled arrangement around the altar. The turbaned man bears distinctive long hair and ceremonial dress, but the appearance is not conclusive enough to confirm a specific identity.2016-12-14Photograph of a man in a brown turban with a gold-edged band and a jewelled ornament, wearing a multicoloured flower garland and a dark brown dhoti-style garment, with a long black braided hair falling down his back, holding a small bell and performing a ritual near a flame at right. Behind him stands a golden-hued deity murti of Shiva with a jewelled crown and trident, draped in yellow and white flower garlands. At left a second man in an orange cloth with rudraksha beads and a white forehead mark holds a brass plate of offerings. The setting is a temple shrine with a stone wall. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back black braided hair, a turban and rudraksha-style adornment; the appearance is consistent but not certain.2017-12-02December 14 20162016-12-14May 25 20132013-05-25 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple shrine during a ritual. A man with long dreadlocks, wearing a rust-brown turban and brown dhoti with gold border, stands at center decorating a golden kalasha with a long garland of yellow, red, green and pink flowers. Behind him, a bare-chested attendant in orange dhoti with gold border holds a brass plate and wears a rudraksha mala. To the right, a deity murti with red face, gold crown and ornaments sits beneath flower garlands, with a tall brass lamp stand and gold vessels nearby. Lamps and flowers fill the shrine.2016-12-14May 17 20132013-05-17A gilded statue of a standing male figure, shown with raised right hand in a blessing gesture, is set within a dense arch of marigold, rose and chrysanthemum garlands in yellow, orange, red, purple and green. The statue wears a red and gold turban, long dark hair, a brown and gold shawl over a leopard-print garment, a dark rudraksha mala and gold chains, with a brown dhoti. The gold arch above frames the statue, and a green cloth lies at its base. Partially visible at the left edge is a blue garment of another figure. The statue is a depiction, not a person present in the scene.2013-11-02
