A man in a rust-red dhoti and wrap, with a long orange rudraksha-style bead mala and a gold-coloured bead necklace draped over his shoulders, performs a night ritual with eyes closed. He holds a silver lamp with a flame in one hand and a silver handbell in the other, with wisps of smoke rising to the left. A red-and-gold decorated edge of a ceremonial seat is visible at the left, and a few people sit in the dim background. Dark trees fill the background. Appearance-based label: a person, a ritual performer with ornate beads and orange-red garments.2013-04-01A standing man in an orange-saffron drape, with shoulder-length wavy dark hair and a bare upper torso, holds a small silver ritual bowl or lamp in one hand and gestures with the other near a flame. Beside him, a fire or lamp burns on a metal stand, and seated figures in orange and white clothing sit on the floor behind a wooden railing. Behind them are a blank white easel board and a dimly lit stage with framed decorations. The scene suggests a ritual or fire ceremony in an indoor hall at night.2006-08-22May 18 20192019-05-18May 18 20192019-05-18A man stands at night outdoors holding a lit oil lamp in his right hand and a small silver bell in his left, with his eyes lowered. He wears a rust-red wrap over his shoulders and a long orange beaded mala with a ceremonial gold pendant at his neck, and has a red tilak on his forehead. Green foliage and smoke fill the background, and a small figure is partly visible at the left edge. The man appears to be a probable Swamiji (appearance-based, long hair with orange mala and gold necklace), performing an aarti-style lamp offering. Only the lamp-holder and the partial figure at the left edge are visible.2013-03-31May 18 20192019-05-18A photograph at night of a man in saffron-orange robes standing before a multi-flame brass oil lamp held in both hands, the flames lit against a dark background with dry leaves and a pale painted backdrop. He has a white tripundra mark with a red dot on his forehead and a beaded metal necklace with a pendant. He appears to be performing an aarti with the lamp.2009-09-27Evening ritual scene in a hall. A standing figure in a draped saffron-orange cloth, with long wavy shoulder-length hair, holds a small metal bell in one hand and extends the other hand toward a lit flame. Beside him a seated attendant in orange holds a burning oil lamp on a wooden stand, with bright flame. Another attendant in orange with a rudraksha mala sits at the lower left. Behind them, people in white sit on the floor near a blank white easel board and a dark backdrop with a decorated altar area.2006-08-22July 29 20122012-07-29 +1 copiesMay 18 20192019-05-18October 06 20132013-10-06April 21 20182018-04-21
