Most wear white dhotis and shawls with red-and-gold borders; several have rudraksha malas. A man in the centre wears an orange saffron robe and has a forehead tilak, holding a lit oil lamp in one hand. To the right, a man in white with a red-bordered cloth and a forehead marking holds a lit lamp, and brass plates with offerings, flowers and small lamps sit before the participants. Several other people hold flames. Items on the floor include a small metal box, bowls and a book with a red cover.2010-11-19A photograph of many young men seated cross-legged in rows on mats and a tiled floor, dressed in white dhotis and white shirts with red-bordered shawls and rudraksha malas. Many hold lit oil lamps or small flames, and brass plates with flowers, fruit and offerings sit before them. A few seated men lean forward to tend the plates, and a bald man in the centre tends a lamp on a brass plate.2010-12-27February 02 20132013-02-02A row of men sits cross-legged on the floor in a hall, hands pressed together in anjali mudra before brass puja plates. Several wear saffron/orange robes; others wear white dhotis with red-striped cloth, one with a gold-bordered shawl. Brass lamps with lit wicks, fruit, flowers and small brass bells sit on orange and green mats in front of them. Behind them, others sit in a line with eyes closed, and women in orange and yellow saris are visible at the left edge. The setting appears to be a ritual gathering in an indoor hall with tiled floor and a wall fan.2011-08-01A photograph of a row of people seated on the floor in prayer, hands pressed together in anjali mudra, in a hall with white walls and red curtains. Men in white dhotis with red-and-gold borders and bare upper bodies sit closest to the camera, one wearing a yellow-and-white shawl, another with a rudraksha mala. Beside them, figures in saffron-orange robes sit with their eyes closed. Brass lamps and metal plates with flowers, fruit and offerings sit on orange cloths along the polished floor, with lit oil lamps and candles. Other attendees in white and orange kneel further back, and a figure in a pink top is at the left edge. No one clearly matches an identifiable ceremonial presentation beyond these ritual cues.2011-08-01October 22 20142014-10-22 +1 copiesFebruary 27 20132013-02-27 +1 copies
