Gold vessels appear at the lower left, and a bright sign or banner is visible in the background. The scene reads as a darshan blessing during a yoga programme. The blessing giver is an unnamed attendant, and no one is identified as a person in this frame.2017-08-23August 23 20172017-08-23A bare-chested man with short dark hair sits with eyes closed and palms raised outward while another person's hand, wearing a red thread on the wrist, presses on his forehead. A second person in white clothing with beaded necklaces is partially visible behind him. Warm lighting and a red backdrop surround the group.2017-08-20August 20 20172017-08-20August 23 20172017-08-23August 23 20172017-08-23A photograph of a ritual initiation at an indoor hall with a red curtain behind. In the foreground a young bare-chested man with short black hair stands with eyes closed and palms pressed together in anjali, wearing a thin white sacred thread and a small pendant. A man in the right foreground, with a trimmed beard and gold bracelet and red thread on his wrist, places his right hand on the young man's head in blessing. Behind them an older man with long matted hair, tilak on his forehead and a cream-and-gold shawl over his shoulders and a gold necklace stands near a golden ornate object, possibly a deity murti or ritual vessel. Other people in white dhotis and saffron-toned clothing stand in the background, slightly out of focus.2017-05-05August 20 20172017-08-20March 27 20182018-03-27 +1 copies
