A figure in an orange turban and orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at a brick fire pit, holding a brass tray with a pink flower and offerings while smoke rises around him. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti holds a microphone behind him, and several people stand in the background. Marigold garlands decorate the pit edge, and cut fruit pieces with red powder sit on the bricks.2004-06-12December 20 20132013-12-20December 11 20152015-12-11 +1 copiesJuly 17 20062006-07-17 +1 copiesDecember 11 20152015-12-11Photo 11716610 +1 copiesA photograph of a homa ritual. In the foreground a seated figure with long, swept-back dark hair and bare upper back wears an orange saffron dhoti-wrap and pours an offering with a ladle over a square fire pit lined with white bricks. Smoke rises from the pit, with marigold petals and small brass bowls of offerings and kumkum around it. A brass bowl and a small brass vessel sit at the edge, and a blue mat covers the ground. Behind, several people in white clothing and one in an orange shawl sit cross-legged, with a brass kalasha-like vessel nearby.
