A large deity murti is decorated with a garland of yellow and orange flowers and a golden backdrop, with a decorative tassel-and-leaf bunting strung above. Two priests in white dhotis sit on the raised platform before a stone step and silver ritual vessels, bowls and a small brass lamp; a third person in a red garment stands on the steps behind them. Devotees sit at the lower edge of the frame. To the right, a framed portrait of a figure in orange robes and a garland sits on a red velvet and gold chair. A printed poster reads MEET the Master with a schedule. The text is a poster board beside the platform.2011-12-31Night-time ritual in a dimly lit open pavilion. A man in an orange-red robe holds a lit oil lamp or aarti flame at left. Seated at right on an orange-draped seat, a figure in orange robes wears a long white garland and a small head covering, with a silver vessel beside him. Two women in white saris with gold borders sit cross-legged in the foreground, one holding a small metal cup. A standing attendant in orange stands behind the seated figure. Brass lamps with flames, flower garlands and a kolam design of coloured powder sit on steps at right, with a ceiling fan and a few seated devotees in the background.2014-10-03Night outdoor ritual at an open-air shrine. Seated devotees in white clothes with red sashes face a raised platform where a figure in orange robes sits before a deity murti garlanded with flowers and a red cloth, while another priest in white holds a lit flame aloft beside a second garlanded deity. Brass plates, offerings and a small fire glow on the platform. The page labels the event a Ganapathy Homa and a padapuja, but the visible scene shows lamps and flowers only.2014-10-11
