Close photograph of a brass plate holding burning incense or camphor-like material, with a bundle of dried stems or incense sticks held over it. Two hands are visible: one at upper right holding the sticks, wearing a silver bangle, and one at lower right resting on a stone ledge with a white paste mark on the wrist. Behind is a blurred red cloth, a carved wooden base and a gold sequined or sparkling backdrop. No full person is visible, so this is a ritual detail such as a fire offering.2010-09-05Close photograph of a burning bundle of dried grass or herbs on a round brass plate held by two hands at the right edge, the flames rising high. A second flame glows at the left, with a small metal dish and yellow flower petals on a stone ledge. The wearer's orange clothing is visible at the bottom right. Blurred colourful background.2017-09-21 +1 copiesClose-up photo of a ritual fire being lit on a red cloth. Two hands, one wearing a thin silver bangle, hold a bundle of thin sticks whose tips burn with a bright flame over a shallow steel plate. Burnt black material and a dark ash mound sit in the plate. Behind it stand a brass oil lamp, a brass vessel, and plates of yellow and red flowers, green leaves and marigolds. The scene suggests a homa or puja offering. No faces are visible and no a person candidate appears in the frame.2018-04-14December 08 20112011-12-08Close photograph of a bundle of dried grass or straw stalks being set alight over a polished metal plate, with bright orange flames curling upward and charred black fibres falling onto the plate. A partly visible hand holds the bundle at left, and a bare arm with a tattoo appears behind it. The background is dark with a blurred pink and white patterned fabric at right. This appears to be a fire ritual such as a homa or deepa-style offering, though no full scene is visible.2018-04-20 +1 copiesClose-up photo of a ritual fire offering.
