Several colourful striped parasols or umbrellas with bright red, orange and green patterns are carried above the group. Some marchers wear white dhotis and white kurtas, while women on the right wear white saris, one with a light blue border. A bright street lamp lights the scene, and a white building with a red-roofed edge stands at the right. Some people stand at the sides of the road watching. The people are visible and roughly counted at the scene; the participants appear to be in a gurupoornima style procession with parasols.2007-07-29Night photograph of an outdoor festival entrance on a dirt path, decorated with two tall green banana plant arches, strings of coloured lights and a striped festoon canopy overhead. A hanging banner on the left shows a saffron-robed figure with ornate ornaments among smaller portraits, and a second banner appears in the centre. Several people in white traditional clothing, some with saffron-orange and yellow shawls, stand in lines along the path and at the right. A woman in a white sari on the left stands facing the entrance. Bright floodlights illuminate the scene and marigold-style decorations line the left side.2010-12-29January 02 20162016-01-02
