A homa is performed inside a hall with a white-tiled fire altar of stacked bricks at the centre, flames rising from it and rose petals scattered on the bricks. A man in saffron-orange robes and an ornate patterned crown sits at the right side of the altar, handling a plate of offerings and a ritual vessel. Around him, many people in white ritual clothes sit on the floor and stand, while women in saffron, red and green saris sit at the left. Behind the altar, a small deity murti stands on a table near strings of fairy lights and banners with blue and orange patterns hang on the pillars.
