Two tall vertical banners flank the entrance, each showing a standing figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala, hands folded, against a green backdrop, with Tamil slogans beneath. Uniformed police officers in khaki with red caps stand near yellow barriers, and devotees in white, saffron and teal saris and dhotis walk through the entrance, some carrying flower garlands. The scene is outdoors in daylight.2007-01-12August 19 20072007-08-19October 14 20062006-10-14June 07 20042004-06-07August 19 20072007-08-19A street entrance to a Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam venue, framed by a banana-leaf and banana-stalk arch decorated with yellow flowers, strings of marigold-like blossoms and small pink and blue paper flags. Beneath the arch hangs a large green, red and white banner showing a smiling man in a white turban and a blue embellished garment, with Tamil text. Behind it, men in white and light-coloured clothing sit or stand at a table draped in white cloth. A second red banner on a pole shows a similar portrait with Tamil text, and a loudspeaker is mounted nearby. A kolam design is drawn on the ground beneath the arch, and a thatched-roof building stands behind.2007-10-01November 05 20062006-11-05Outdoor photo of a small ashram-style building with pale walls, barred windows and ornate gold-patterned grilles. A large pink and white banner above reads in Tamil and English about Ananda Spurana, a meditation session held on the fourth Saturday and Sunday each month; the banner shows a smiling figure in orange and saffron robes with a turban and red forehead mark. Two framed portraits of a figure in saffron and white are displayed on the wall and on a black board stand. A bare brick pillar, a bicycle, banana plants and a tree stand in the yard. No people are visible.2006-10-20February 13 20092009-02-13
