Beneath the arch hangs a large green, red and white banner showing a smiling man in a white turban and a blue embellished garment, with Tamil text. Behind it, men in white and light-coloured clothing sit or stand at a table draped in white cloth. A second red banner on a pole shows a similar portrait with Tamil text, and a loudspeaker is mounted nearby.
