A man stands barefoot on a dark tiled floor under trees, palms pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes closed. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl draped over one shoulder, leaving the other shoulder bare, and a rudraksha mala around his neck. His hair is tied up in a knot. Before him is a black stone deity murti with red garlands of yellow and purple flowers, set in a white arched niche with a pink cloth backdrop. In front is a mound of red powder and a circular black-and-white bordered platform, with a bare-branched banyan-like tree and sunlight in the background.2011-02-01November 18 20102010-11-18April 28 20122012-04-28A man in a saffron-orange wrap stands barefoot on a reflective black granite platform, palms pressed together in namaskar with eyes closed. He wears a rudraksha mala around his neck and has long hair tied up at the back. Before him, under a large spreading banyan tree, stands a black stone deity murti with four arms, decorated with a red-and-yellow marigold garland, set in a white arched shrine with a pink backdrop on a red-painted base. Sunlight filters through the leaves onto the sandy ground.2011-02-01November 15 20112011-11-15 +1 copiesOutdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. A standing person in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, bare-chested, faces a black stone deity murti seated on a dark pedestal, with hands pressed together in namaskar. The murti wears a yellow garment, a yellow turban-like crown, and multicoloured flower garlands; a green cloth backdrop hangs behind it. The base is smeared with orange-red kumkum or vermilion, with a small metal lamp and brass plate nearby.
