On the stage a richly decorated altar holds golden deity murtis and ornate golden stands, with garlands and a canopy overhead. Tall striped pillars with orange tassels flank the stage, and a projector screen hangs to the right. Several men in saffron and white clothing sit near the altar, while a row of devotees in white and yellow sits at the right side of the hall. Some people hold brass plates and vessels. The scene suggests a puja or satsang gathering.2010-11-23September 02 20102010-09-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated congregation in a corrugated-roof hall with whitewashed walls and tubelights. Dozens of devotees sit cross-legged on mats in rows, mostly in white clothing with orange shawls or orange sashes, some in yellow and green saris. At the front, a few people stand near a shrine holding a deity murti with orange and gold decor, flanked by tall striped cloth banners with tassels. Attendees with long braids and buns face the front. A framed portrait hangs on the upper right wall, and a sign on the right reads text in a non-Latin script.
